This course was by far the worst maintained course that I have seen in some time.

I play 100+ rounds of golf during the year. This is by far the worst conditioned course I have ever played. I wouldn't cross the street to play this course. It's really too bad because the setting up against the foothills is quite nice, but what a dog track!!

Terrific place to play if you don't mind teeing areas that are not flat. Terrific place to play if you love to move the ball at rest, because most of the fairway is a vast ground-under-repair area, and divots everywhere, incessant pitch-marks not repaired, etc. Do I sound bitter? No, but I wish that the course was better maintained. I have been around golf my whole life, Caddied for many years, and the condition of the course is painful. It could be a beautiful course with just a little love.

Great course and great location. Played for the first time yesterday and the weather was perfect. Fairways are narrower than some courses but it adds to the challenge. The food/bar area is being renovated so that's the reason for the "con" rating. It should be very nice when completed. I look forward to playing this course again.

Azusa greens, despite it's magnificent setting against the Dan Gabriel Mountains, used to be a goat pasture for many years until about two years ago when a major investment was made in the course. The clubhouse facilities received a major makeover a few years prior. The course itself is a cleverly laid out, challenging track. The fairways are somewhat narrow and amazingly better than they were just three years ago. Grass grows now where it hadn't been before. The tree line and rough can have punishing lies and benefits from a 6" bump for relief from roots and Johnson grass clumps. Usually, a drive in the fairway is rewarded. The greens are well maintained and true and are well guarded by bunkers left and right but with a forgiving runway between the greens that are guarded by bunkers on each side of the front of the green. It is a layout that rewards accurate drives and approach shots and punishes the errant shot. It is a great value for challenging everyday and vacation play.
